Our story

OG1Group started with a simple idea.

In 2014, Ryan Young was a high school baseball player who wanted a custom glove. A handful of his teammates wanted one too, but none of the major manufacturers were willing to offer discounts for a group order. Rather than accept no for an answer, Ryan's father, Garrett Young, decided to find a solution himself.

Garrett created custom gloves for the team and began documenting the process on Instagram, sharing photos that followed the creation of each glove from start to finish. Before the first shipment of gloves ever arrived, the company had already gained over 500 followers and secured seven orders.

What started as a small project quickly grew into something much bigger.

By 2016 and 2017, more than 50 of the top 100 players in the country, according to Perfect Game rankings, were using our gloves. As relationships continued to grow throughout the baseball community, one of those players asked Garrett if he could help create uniforms for his high school team.

That single question changed everything.

In 2017, OG1Group was born.

Never satisfied with offering just one product, Garrett built the company around a simple philosophy: if a team needed it, we would find a way to make it happen. Shortly after launching uniforms, Garrett developed the now-recognizable 3D helmet logos that would become a signature product for programs across the country.

From there, OG1Group evolved into a true one-stop shop for teams and organizations. Today, we provide custom uniforms, socks, belts, hats, signage, rugs, on-deck circles, locker room accessories, helmet decals, and countless other custom products designed to help teams build their identity.

In March of 2026, our company and our family suffered a tremendous loss when Garrett Young passed away after a courageous battle with Stage IV Neuroendocrine Cancer.

To those who knew him, Garrett was much more than a business owner. He was a relentless problem solver, a relationship builder, and someone who genuinely cared about every customer he worked with. Whether you were a major college program, professional organization, local high school, or youth team, Garrett treated everyone with the same respect, energy, and commitment. His philosophy was simple: never say no, and always find a way to help.

That mindset remains the foundation of OG1Group today.

Ryan and Garrett shared more than a passion for sports and entrepreneurship — they also shared a genetic condition and both battled cancer during their lives. Those experiences reinforced the resilience, perspective, and determination that continue to drive our company forward.

Following Garrett's passing, Ryan Young assumed leadership of OG1Group and committed to carrying on the legacy his father built.

Today, our mission remains the same as it was on day one: provide exceptional products, unmatched service, and become a trusted partner for every team we serve. We view our customers as family, and we work every day to honor Garrett's legacy by delivering the same passion, creativity, and dedication that built this company from a single glove order into a nationally recognized brand.

This is more than a business.

This is Garrett's legacy, Ryan's responsibility, and our commitment to every team that trusts us with their brand.
